Song: Doob Gaye Aakash Ke Taare, Ja Ke Na Tum Aaye
Takte Takte Naina Haare, Ja Ke Na Tum Aaye
Film: Angaare (1954)
Music: Sachin Dev Barman
Lyrics: Sahir Ludhianwi
Singer: Talat Mehmood
*ing: Nargis, Nasir Khan
Unfortunately, I don't remember lyrics of this nice song. What I
can write, is -- melody and slow paced orchestra, both are
lovely.
Film seems to have good soundtrack, as it has some good songs. At
least the one I am aware of are, all good. All these songs are
sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
The most melodious song is:
'Unhe Kho Kar Dukhe Dil Ki Dua Se Aur Kya Maangu
Main Hairan Hu Ke Aaj Apane? ??? ?? Kya Maangu'
Then this song, that lead me to think if it was a Shankar
Jaikishan composition!
Ummid Ki Zoli Me Kyon Bhar Diye Angaare, Bhar Diye
Angaare
In fact the feeling is same, not only for this song but all
three Lata songs! The primary reason being scale chosen by
Sachin-da, a high one, typical to Shankar Jaikishan songs.
Only other Lata solo that remains to be mentioned, is most famous
Lata song from the film. (Famous because it's better known as a
song from Angaare to people who like music from the era.)
'Us Basti Ko Jaane Waale, Leta Ja Paigaam Mera'

PS: I suppose this song ('Doob Gaye Akaash Ke Taare') is released
on Talat Rare Gems compilation by HMV. I have the album, but
couldn't locate it. Can someone confirm ? BTW, IMO, this album
contains some REALLY rare pieces like Gham Na Kar Khushi Ka Daur
Aayega (SHAHZAADA), Mitane De Meri Zindagi (MEHAR- BANI) etc.
