>From today I will post, few songs composed by Hemant Kumar till
26th of this month, his 6th death anniversary. Also all the songs
will be by Late Rajendra Krishna, whose death anniversary falls
tomorrow - 21st September. With that, I start with
Nagin........But for I am allowed to keep position vacant, any
song of your choice from this film will fit here!!
#76
Song: Man Dole Mera Tan Dole, Mere Dil Ka Gaya Quraar Re
Kaun Bajae Bansuria ..........
Film: Nagin (1953)
Music: Hemant Kumar
Lyrics: Rajendra Krishna
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar
*ing: Pradeep Kumar, Vyjantimala
What else could possibly be a better start for this pair of music
composer and lyricist than this 1953's musical sensation ? I
guess, in the film history only two films are remembered for
their exceptional musical score. One is this and other was, of
course, 1951's Anarkali. Incidentally both the films have songs
by this lyricist. (In Anarkali we also have other lyricists.)
For this song, the credit also goes to two worthy assistants of
maestro, Ravi and Kalyanji for that "Bin effect". Otherwise too,
the usage of dilruba, sarangi and tabala is too good to ignore.
And on top of all these, we have 'swarkinnari' Lata Mangeshkar's
ever pleasing voice to sing the song! A treasure indeed.
For this entire soundtrack is so beautiful, no amount of words
can describe it in it's entirety; (thus) I won't attempt further.
I will just list songs that I like so much:
- Mera Dil Yeh Pukare Aaja (Lata)
- Unchi (2) Duniya Ki Diwaaren Sainya Tod Ke Main Aayi Re
(Lata)
- Tere Dwaar Khadaa E Jogi (Hemant)
- Chhod De Sajaniya (Hemant-Lata)
- Sun Ri Sakhi (Lata)
- Sun Rasiya Kahe Ko Jalaae (Lata)
- .........
- .........
Well, list goes on. Please include all :)
