Song figures in my top-10 list of rain songs. Song  goes  slowly,
much same as falling droplets in light shower! Towards the end in
the last antara, the change of rhythm  for  the  line  'Pyaar  Ke
Sapane,  Sada  Suhane,  Pyaar  Kare  Wo  ...'   is really nice. I
suppose that one is very brilliant attempt by the  MD  for  small
offset  in the lyrical meter. The small fault of the song becomes
a beauty!

I know three solos from the film, one each by Suraiya, Mukesh and
Asha Bhonsle.  The Suraiya solo, is again a very good composition
by the MD.
        'Sine Me Mere Burf Gira Kar Chal Diye'

Mukesh solo, deserves another ATMJH #???,  and  hence  will  talk
about it later.

Apart from this there exists one Mukesh-Asha duet too.  That  one
is:
        'Ye Kafila Hai Pyaar Ka Chalata Hi Jayega'

The idea of Naushad, to have female singer singing same  as  what
male  sings,  as  in  Babul(1950)  duet  by Talat-Shamshad Begum,
'Milate Hi Aankhe Dil Hua Diwana Kisi Ka'; was  no  novelty.  The
above  song  is  the first such case, I know. Mukesh sings a line
and same is repeated by Asha. This is perhaps the only song where
Mukesh  leads Asha, in the sense that Mukesh presents things with
alaaps and all that, while Asha sings flat. You can  easily  make
out that this Asha is still too young, and needs to improve much.
I suppose this was early 1949 film,  and  songs  must  have  been
recorded much earlier in 1948.
