This film was Mukesh's last  adventure  in  the  stardom;  but  a
musical  treat.   He, before Kishor, became a person to produce a
film where he was hero as well as music director. (Kishor  Kumar,
went  a step ahead in Zumaru by writing lyrics too!) Film has two
songs sung by Mukesh. Other one is the best of the film. But this
one  is  no  less beautiful. Very nice rhythm and tune. Of course
people remember this film for 'Kise Yaad Rakhun Kise Bhul  Jaun';
song  immortalised  by him.  Film had seven songs in total. Apart
from these two, four were sung by Lata and one by  Manna  De  and
chorus. All the four Lata solos are gems. They are:
        'Jisane Pyaar Kiya Usaka Dushman Zamana
                Hae Ye Mere Dil Ne Pehale Na Jana'

A song, where Mukesh has rose to level of Roshan, written by Kaif
Irfani.

And the other song which has Lata's sweet-gentle touch:
        'Man Chal Chanchal Ho Jayega
                Mera Jiya Dol Jayega' written by Indivar.

The remaining two songs are rare beauties and are superb.

        'Tere Bina Suna Suna Lage Ye Duniya Ka Mela
                Sath Tere Jivan, Jivan Hai Bin Tere Zamela'

A slow paced song, with Lata showing all the emotions of 'birah'.
The  melody  of  the song is just amazing. Lata sing very low but
her control is marvelous, as if the waves progressing smoothly in
the undisturbed waters of a marsh.

and finally

        'Nazar Mila Kar Nzar Churana Aji Na Aise Me Ruth Jana
                Ke Aaj Mausam Bahaar Ka Hai'

A fast pitched song (but not running fast); that  holds  you  for
long  owing to some nice change of rhythm towards the end of each
antara.

These two songs reminds me Anil Biswas compositions. And there is
no  exaggeration. The third song above is by Indivar and last one
by Kaif Irfani;  the  poet  who  has  penned  some  of  the  most
melodious songs in the hindi cinema world.
