The current series on songs on philosophy(?) ends today.
Although, there are more songs in this category, let them wait
till some future date. Today's song is from a film, which has
some excellent songs. IMO, film has most appropriate name, as far
as music is concerned -- Khazaana!
#175
Song: Dhire-Dhire, Dhire-Dhire Gam Ka Zamaana Gaya
Dhire-Dhire Khushi Ka Zamaana Aaya, Ho~~
Film: Khazaana (1951)
Music: Ramchandra Chitalkar
Lyrics: Rajendrakrishna
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar, Chorus
*ing: ?
I am in love with this chorus song. Musically it has nothing
special to offer to , but the tune and singing is awesome. Very
sweet and freshening. Song has never ending melody in it! Really.
My other -- and equally -- favourite song from film is this great
Lata solo
Kar De Zaraa Ishaara, Tere Naam Ka Sahaara
Lata sings it so beautifully, under some divine inspiration. One
has to listen to believe this. Such an effortless, sweet,
perfect-singing-through-Supreme- inspiration of Lata didn't come
to us many times. Only other such occasions I can recall are: [1]
Dil Bhi Tere Ham Bhi Tere [2] Airi Main To Prem Diwaani etc. A
rare incidence of highest order of devotion to music by Latabai.
One more good Lata solo from the film was
Ai Chaand Pyaar Mera Tuzse Ye Keh Rahaa Hai
Tu Bewafaa Na Hona Duniya To Bewafaa Hai... Ai
Chaa~nd
This song, surprised me when I heard it first time; for it's high
notes. It was so, for I was told that song is C Ramchandra
composition. An unusual thing for him.
Lata also sung these two very nice numbers
Soyi Soyi Chaandani Hai, Khoyi Khoyi Raat Hai
Naya Naya Pyaar Hai, Ye Naya Naya Pyaar Hai ...
and
Muhobat Pe Itani Jawaani Na Hoti, Agar Tum Na Aate, Agar
Tum Na Aate
There also exists this playful duet of Rafi and Lata: Muze Tum Se
Bahut Hai Pyaar, Nahi Ji Zara Zara.
A true 'khazaana' of songs, this film is.
