Song: Ye Khushi Ka Samaa, Keh Rahi Hai Fizaan
Aa Nigaahen Mila Ke To Dekh
Zindagi Hai Jawaan, ??? ???? Muskaraa
Dil Ki Duniya Basaa Ke To Dekh
Film: Diwali Ki Raat (1956)
Music: Snehal Bhatkar
Lyrics: Naqsh Lyalpuri
Singer: Talat Mehmood
*ing: Talat Mehmood, Roopmala, Shashikala, Leela Mishra
This film shows Snehal's :) talents. Has some very good songs by
Talat Mehmood and Asha Bhonsle. This one is the most popular
among all. It has not-so-short prelude, that opens with drums. I
don't know how many times other than (in 'Aavo Bachchon Tumhe
Dikhaayen' genre of songs) drum is used. Song has extremely
pleasant interludes comprising of pipes, violins and saxophone?.
My other favourite is also a Talat solo
Zindagi Kis Mod Par Laayi Muze
Har Khushi Roti Nazar Aayi Muze
A melodious number, sung little high. A gazal by Naqsh.
Film also has one interesting person associated with it. And it's
one of the lyricist. I had always wondered -- this man who has
written so many lovely poetries -- if he ever wrote for films ? I
am talking about Madhukar Rajasthani! He has penned so many
songs composed by Murli Mahohar Swaroop and sung Lata, Mukesh
etc. They are all excellent numbers. In this film he penned one
or perhaps two songs. One is sung by Talat Mehmood and Madhubala
Zaveri and other by Asha Bhonsle. The duet, is so-so (musically).
But Asha number 'Jeevan Beena Ko Jab Chhede Man Ke Taar' is
without any dispute a great. It has very pretty tabla beats.
