Hello All,

Those who are aware of this title, know that this  is  the  title
song   of  the  programme  that  is  aired  on  SLBC  (Sri  Lanka
Broadcasting Corporation, Hindi Sec.)  ; formerly known as  Radio
Ceylone.  In  fact still today, nostalgic people like me refer to
it by that name. This programme  is  famous  for  some  evergreen
songs  of  old  time  from films. In fact title song it self is a
'hamesha jawan geet' from a 1951 film Afsaana. Music  was  scored
by  Pt.  Husnalal Bhagatram. Generally songs in the programme are
from 1940s and 50s.
        After this brief information on the title, I  would  like
to  disclose my desire to start a series on RMIM with such songs.
Can't decide on frequency.  To start with  I  will  post  a  song
every  alternate  day.  I will try to provide with all the PSTATs
that I know of; with an urge to fellow knowledgeable  RMIMers  to
fill in the missing part. I shall also concentrate on 40s and 50s
with occasional song from 1930s.

Well the first song chosen in the series  is  obviously  from  my
favourite team of Anil Biswas and Mukesh.

Those who have heard this song, would have perhaps realised that,
this  song  is  inferior  cousin of Anokha Pyar great by the same
team 'Jeevan Sapana Tut Gaya'.
